Warren Wilson College (Swannanoa, N.C.) announced earlier this month that it was adding four new varsity sports in the coming years, and that women’s rugby would join the slate of athletic offerings in fall 2023. The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) has accepted Warren Wilson’s application for membership, and the Owls will become the southernmost team in Division III.
