Princeton University Women’s Rugby faced a tough introduction to the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) last year, but the Division I program can face those challenges with perspective. Its club roots date back to 1979, and the student-led process to become an NCAA varsity program took years. So as the Tigers embark on year two of NIRA, they know they’re setting a foundation on which future Princeton rugby teams can thrive.
