Roger Williams University is a small college (3,700 enrollment) but the women's rugby club opts to play in NCR's Division I. The Rhode Island team traveled to New Orleans for the DI Club May Madness 7s competition, played teams much larger than itself, and beat a tough Univ. Wisconsin Eau Claire (UWEC) 12-7 in the stadium final. Senior Stephanie MacLeod was named championship MVP and played a huge role throughout the weekend.
