Players from all corners of the country have converged at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md., giving players one last opportunity to show their cards in their bid for team selection. A 32-player squad will travel to England to represent USA Rugby in the pinnacle showcase of women’s rugby, which takes place quadrennially.

“The 40 players that have joined us this week in [Mount] St. Mary’s have come in motivated and full of excitement to earn a place at the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025,” Fukofuka told USA Rugby. “Being here is the first step. Now, they have to compete to earn an opportunity at selection. The players and staff are working hard to push standards, drive behaviors  and ensure that we are preparing the strongest squad we can to represent the USA in England.

“The focus this week is on the present and executing our core skills under pressure, being more accurate in our collisions  and competing with each other to help elevate our ability to perform consistently,” he added. “We have an internal Stars vs Stripes game where we have a number of very strong match ups going head to head competing for final selection.”

The USA Eagles Women’s World Cup 2025 squad will be announced at the USA Rugby 50th Anniversary Gala on July 17 and will be shared publicly via live stream.
