The cancellation of the spring 2020 season may have curtailed the on-field efforts of rugby players but the Tri-State Rugby Conference has released the All-Conference selections based on the first part of the season, fall 2019.
“These students are to be congratulated for earning this honor as they have exhibited outstanding commitment to their team, good leadership, a high skill level and a clean disciplinary record,” explained conference commissioner Tony Brown.
A total of 60 players have been recognized – 31 on the First Team and 29 on the Second Team. SUNY Albany, Drew University, Fairfield University, Fordham University, Hofstra University, Manhattanville College, Marist College, Monroe College, Montclair State University, Rochester Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Rutgers University, Siena College, Stony Brook University and Vassar College placed four players apiece on the teams. University of New Haven and SUNY New Paltz placed two apiece.
