The USA squad will face Brazil 15s national team on June 1 and June 7, in a valuable opportunity for current and extended Eagles squad players to gain further international match experience with sights on Rugby World Cup 2025, and importantly Rugby World Cup 2029. Livestream information will be shared when confirmed by the hosts.

“Throughout the USA Pathway, we are very intentional in our alignment with the Senior National Team – from game model, to lexicon, and meeting the development needs of individual players,” said Katie Dowty, who will serve as Falcons head coach on the upcoming tour. “This group was chosen collectively by National Team and High Performance Pathways staff, to provide opportunity for players who are projecting either to Rugby World Cup 2025 or 2029. The squad is a mix of capped veterans assembled for more game-time experience under pressure, players aiming to put their hand up for Rugby World Cup 2025, and players that will likely step into the National Team pool immediately following this Rugby World Cup.

“We fully expect Brazil to challenge and stretch us,” Dowty added. “They are a Rugby World Cup-qualified side, in the midst of their World Cup preparations. Our squad will need to bring international speed of play, explosive physicality and keep their skills and habits consistent under the pressure that Brazil will undoubtedly bring. Our aim will be to out-match Brazil in those areas. It will be a great test for those who know the demands of international rugby and great learning for players who have not yet experienced it.”
