USA Rugby U20s

As previously announced, two of the USA Rugby Women’s Junior National Teams are traveling to Wales this July for the opportunity to train and compete against the best U18 and U20 players from England, Scotland, Wales and Canada. International playing experience is critical for developing the players who will be the backbone of future USA Women’s National Team squads, including the 2033 Rugby World Cup that will be held in the U.S. But the age grade programs are not fully funded entities and require substantial fundraising to realize these playing opportunities. “Fundraising is integral to the program’s success and the life-changing experiences these young players work so hard for,” USA Women’s Pathways Manager Martha Daines said. “Right now, we partially rely on a pay-to-play model, where donations and gifts can help to relieve that pressure and break down barriers for all deserving talent to participate and grow. Donations of any amount support the coaches and players on so many levels, from travel and accommodations to the right equipment and facilities to help each focus on their rugby and fall more in love with the game.”

There are two ways to help. Supporters can either donate directly to the USA U18 and/or the USA U20 programs, or they can purchase a t-shirt that was designed by a U20 player. Proceeds will benefit both programs on tour. The online store is open until May 31, and shipping will begin June 13.
