It’s that time again! The polls have opened for the final Canterbury Player of the Month for 2016. Past recipients have included Central Washington’s Sui A’au (September) and NOVA’s Sara Parsons (October), both of which have received gift bags from sponsor Canterbury North America as reward.

Voting for the November Player of the Month begins today, Thursday, Dec. 1, and concludes Sunday, Dec. 4 at midnight PST. Below is a review of the four candidates (profiles linked). CLICK HERE to record your vote.

• Week 1: Emily Roskopf of Quinnipiac University … The Bobcats beat Penn State in a NIRA vs. DI Elite champion showdown … match was a friendly, but the outcome marked Penn State’s first loss to a collegiate side in five years … Quinnipiac went on to a repeat NIRA title.

• Week 2: Ashley Johnson of Eastern Kentucky University … The DII fall Round of 32 is typically rife with lopsided scores, as higher seeds prevail, but the player-coached EKU made the nine-hour journey to Kutztown and returned with a two-point win. It was the highlight of the first round of playoffs.

• Week 3: Ashley Palmieri of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy … The fall final four newcomer emerged from the toughest bracket, having to defeat Bloomsburg and St. Michael’s on back-to-back days to advance to Furman University this weekend.

• Week 4: Emily Henrich of Orchard Park (N.Y.), playing for the NRU Thunder … Canadians topped five of six women’s divisions at the New York 7s, but this Girls High School All-American was playing for her summer 7s team, which is based in the Canadian Niagara union, and was one of few Americans contesting a title.

Happy voting!
