Army has moved into the #2 spot of the NCAA rankings after finishing just short of Dartmouth, 26-20. Harvard beat the Black Knights 28-17 more than a month ago, but a good amount of rugby has occurred since then, and no one has come as close as to the league-leading Dartmouth as Army.

The reorganization pushes Harvard and Quinnipiac down a spot, though they both won big on the weekend. Neither Notre Dame College nor Brown had room to move, however, as they’ve either recently beat teams or posted significant wins against those below them.

West Chester moved up after beating higher-ranked Mount St. Mary’s, and Bowdoin, which had played a non-league game, also advanced. The Polar Bears had finished just nine points shy of West Chester – a better point differential than the Mountaineers’ 20 – and also played a great game against USA Rugby’s top-ranked DII team, Vassar College, losing 39-33.

AIC and Norwich swapped positions after the Yellow Jackets won their rematch convincingly, and New England fell a spot after a big loss to Sacred Heart.
