Stars has assembled its first U18 Girls team and first official U23 Women team for the Tropical 7s, to be held April 27-28 in Orlando, Fla.
The U18 side has representatives from six states, coast to coast, and will compete in a nine-team field that includes 2.5 Canadian teams (Celtic Barbarians is a North American program) and select sides Atlantis, USA South and Utah Lions. Hawaii’s Kahuku High School has been banking those travel miles this spring and will also be in Florida.
There are five Stars veterans on the U23 team, including Austria’s Ricci Henning, and six states and D.C. are represented. There are just five teams in the U23 Elite division, but they’re good: Army, Canada’s Guelph, Life and Lindenwood.
