Devault, PA – The Rugby PA All-State coaching staff has selected a pool of players who will travel to the New Jersey All-Star Invitational on June 9 in Jersey City, N.J. Three sides have been named and will compete as the High School Girls Varsity, High School Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity. These players will participate in a round robin tournament, with teams from Rugby NJ, Metro NY, and Rugby Colorado (for the boys) all taking part in the event.

The players were selected from the All-State Selection Camp hosted in Lancaster, Pa., on Saturday, May 25. Nearly 150 players participated on the weekend, showcasing the best talent across the state.
“It was great to see all the players arrive excited to show why they felt they deserved to be selected. We split them up and put them through some scrimmages, exploring different combinations throughout the day,” added Boy High Performance Commissioner Mark Weir.
From these pools, the coaches will select the final rosters for the USA Rugby Northeast RCT in Springfield, MA on June 29-30. The girls’ high school junior varsity will be named in the near future.
