Like its single-school counterpart, the Girls High School Club National Tournament hadn’t been held since May 2019. South Bay was the reigning champion, but everything rugby shifted coming out of Covid, including the top contenders for the national club title. When the dust settled at Wayne State College in Nebraska, it was the SacPAL Amazons – high school and middle school – that emerged as the new standard.
