CRAA 15s Round of 8/4 Matches

The Round of 8/4 matches have been determined for the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) women’s Division I playoffs. Quarterfinals will be held this Friday, April 4 and semifinals are Sunday, April 6. All of the games will occur at Arizona State University’s Dorsey Fields (510 S Dorsey Ln, Tempe, AZ 85288). The CRAA DI championship will occur Saturday, April 19 at Stanford University and will be joined by the DIA and DII finals. [lead photo: Alex Ho @hoiho_photo]

The quarterfinals involve the top-three teams from the Pacific Mountain Rugby Conference (PMRC), the home to the 2024 DI champion, Stanford. The Pacific Desert Rugby Conference (PDRC) gets four seeds, and at-large Air Force, which plays its primary 15s season in the fall, is the eighth team. Livestream should be on CRAA’s YouTube.

11 a.m. Arizona (PDRC 4) v Stanford (PMRC 1)
1 p.m. Arizona State (PDRC 2) v Western Washington (PMRC 2)
3 p.m. Grand Canyon (PDRC 1) v Cal (PMRC 3)
5 p.m. Claremont (PDRC 3) v Air Force (at-large)

SUNDAY, APRIL 6
9 a.m. & 11 a.m. SFs

The two teams that go 2-0 in Tempe will advance to the championship on April 19 in Palo Alto. CRAA has not released any public information on the women’s 15s post-season, but the April 19 finale also includes the DII final between West Coast champion Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Pacific Desert champion UC Irvine. The DIA national championship will occur as well, and the finalists will be determined after the April 12 semifinals.
