Eagle Impact Rugby Academy (EIRA) is midway through its summer programming for its girls’ U16 and U18 teams. The National Development Program (NDP) just wrapped on the U18s’ tour of Spain, where the team went 3-0 against U19 and senior women’s teams (more to come from Kelsie McDowell). Fifty-three players are assembling in Ireland, and they hail from Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Northern California, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Southern California, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Twenty-seven players have been named to the U18 team, and three are carrying over from the Spain tour: Soryah Hart (Westside Revenge, Ind.), Rachel Kissinger (Celina, Texas) and Sara Zavieh (Atlanta Valkyries). Kissinger (lead photo) is a veteran of the 2022 and 2023 Ireland tours. Jason Scrogham serves as head coach and defense/contact specialist, while John Watson (set piece/forwards) and Karl Barth (attack/backs) are the assistant coaches.

Twenty-six players have been named to the EIRA U16 squad. Teagan Barth (Summit, Colo.) and Giselle Long (Westside Revenge, Ind.) carry over from the Spain tour. Jim Tate is the U16 head coach and defense/contact coach. Assistant coaches Courtney Smith-Hernandez and Chris Rowell will focus on set piece/forwards and attack/backs, respectively. Dale Roach out of Virginia is the team manager.

The schedule includes 15s games against provincial age grade teams from Munster, Connacht, Leinster and Ulster. All players are guaranteed three matches on tour. Stay tuned for updates.
