New York and Twin Cities will be added Sunday
Three of the four Women’s Premier League championship semifinalists have already been determined (Life West, Glendale, Atlanta) and the East’s second berth won’t be determined until the final game of the season.
Twin Cities, New York and Beantown needed to win their games in Week 9 to remain in contention. Both home teams won: New York beat Twin Cities 36-17 and Beantown defeated Chicago North 39-7. That means the Amazons finish in fourth, and the winner of the Oct. 27 New York vs. Beantown match, played in New York, will advance to the championship semifinal against the West’s top-seeded team.
