Rugby NorCal will name its girls’ high school champions in 15s and 10s, as well as a middle school 7s champion. The games occur at Cherry Island Sports Complex (2429 U St.) in Rio Linda, Calif. No admission fee but parking is $10.
In the 15s bracket, reigning champion SacPAL Amazons will face the San Mateo Wolverines. Both teams will feature at the May 17-18 High School Club 15s National Tournament in Wisconsin, with SacPAL in Division I and San Mateo in Division II (read more).
The Amazons beat Pleasanton 86-0 in last weekend’s semifinals, while the Wolverines eliminated the Sacramento Harlequins 24-13. All four teams will play to place on Saturday.
