When the pandemic arrived, Tahlia Brody had already shifted to a rugby life overseas. The New Yorker had played with clubs in Spain and New Zealand, and was equipped to adapt life to the rugby opportunities that Covid-19 carved out. Brody is still very much involved in U.S. rugby and recently helped the Berkeley All Blues to a WPL national championship, but the nearly 28-year-old is already back in New Zealand pursuing goals in the southern hemisphere and awaiting the Rugby World Cup 2021.
