Subs up, thumbs up!
If you’re reading this post, then you’re already a subscriber or donor to The Rugby Breakdown – so thank you for your continued support! Monthly subscribers provide financial stability, but the emotional motivation is equally important to me. Every time someone subscribes they’re saying, “Yes, $5 is worth women’s rugby coverage,” and that sense of duty and purpose intensifies. So again, thank you.
Prior to Feb. 1, 2019, the subscriber-only side of the site was used for “extras” – like interview quotes or photos that couldn’t be used in a main story, developing news, and sometimes personal gripes. But most of TRB’s content featured on the public side of the site. Now, anything that is mostly original work will feature on the subscriber site, and anything that’s submitted by a third party will feature on the public side – generally.
In recognition of those readers who’ve supported TRB in the past or were already subscribers when the site transitioned, two things can happen:
• Former subscribers/donors: You have access to the subscriber site for the length of your former subscription; and for donors, the amount of your donation divided by $5/month (e.g., a $25 donation = 5 months of access)
• Current subscribers/donors: You’re grandfathered in at your current rate.
BUT you must create an account via the “sign up” link on the log-in page. I’ll then check out your payment history and manually approve your access.
