GLENDALE, CO – Forty players will assemble this Saturday for the USA Women’s XVs National Team’s spring Daily Training Environment (DTE). The camp will run until May 2 at the RugbyTown National Training Center in Glendale, CO.

While Rugby World Cup New Zealand was recently postponed until 2022, the DTE still serves as an invaluable opportunity for ongoing preparation. As the program continues to finalize its fixtures and training blocks for the rest of 2021, time in Glendale is every bit as important to ensure coaches and players are ready when competition resumes.

Head Coach Rob Cain said:

“The players have worked extremely hard in our remote learning environment since the previous DTE. We have seen further development through this ‘knowing’ phase and are all excited to head into this ‘doing’ phase.

“Since the World Cup postponement, we have focused on what we can control; working through our feelings as individuals and collectively enabling ourselves to accept, adapt and hit the ground running towards our new target.

“From a rugby perspective, another year, the prospect of playing more games and more contact time means only good things for our aspirations in 2022. This extra time will allow us to get the group into a different place across our rugby pillars than we had originally planned for in 2021.

“Thank you to the whole rugby community for your continued support. Every contribution both financially and with messages of support makes such an impact to this group. We can’t wait to represent our fans when the next opportunity comes.”
