On March 31, Goff Rugby Report announced the 17 nominees for the 2023 MA Sorensen Award, which has honored the best collegiate women’s rugby player in the U.S. since 2016. Fans and teams can vote on the nominees until Sunday, April 9, and then a list of 4-5 finalists will be named. A panel will then elect the 2023 award recipient, who will then be honored at the Washington Athletic Club in early June.
In chronological order, previous winners include Eagles Hope Rogers, Ilona Maher, McKenzie Hawkins, Emily Henrich, Spiff Sedrick and Richelle Stephens, and Canadian Idia Ihensekhien.
