PRESS RELEASE (Glendale, CO) – XV Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising funds for the USA Rugby Women’s XVs program, has today announced its first virtual fundraiser for Friday, Sept 18 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The event, titled Building the Champion Mindset, coincides with one year to go for Rugby World Cup New Zealand 2021 and features a panel of accomplished speakers from the realms of professional and international sport. Registration is $25 per person at xvf.givesmart.com with all proceeds going directly to the Women’s National Team XVs.

Headlining the event are athletes who have each reached the top echelon of their sport including two-time FIFA World Cup Champion Julie Foudy, 1998 NBA Champion Scott Burrell and 1991 Rugby World Cup Champion Maryanne Sorenson. Attendees will also hear from current Eagles with Captain Kate Zackary, Jordan Gray and Kaitlyn Broughton speaking as well.
Panel discussions are focused on achieving success in an evolving sport landscape while fundraising efforts will support the Women’s Eagles’ campaign to New Zealand 2021.
As the team looks to build on its semi final finish from 2017 — the highest result in 20 years — Head Coach Rob Cain and a new player pool need philanthropic support from the community to prepare for the highly competitive event.
