The Elite Girls Rugby League (EGRL) is a new high school competition based on the East Coast, and its aim is to drive the standard of rugby upward. Five teams from five states are participating in the inaugural season, and together they bring a lot of notoriety to the competition. These clubs win state championships, compete at high school club nationals and send graduates to top-tier college rugby programs and into the USA age grades.
