The country is in full-on 7s mode and that’s what dominated the weekend. This round-up focuses on qualifiers namely for club 7s nationals. Overseas, however, three U.S. Eagles are featured in 15s finales in England and France. Also worth noting, Chula Vista came to life with the culmination of the two-week residency for top, rising 7s athletes, and they scrimmaged both Canada and a visiting Chicago Lions side.
This week watch for subscriber-only articles featuring Massachusetts high school champ Belmont; Lauren Trout and Chicago North Shore 7s; and NCR new member news – among other pieces. Will also be checking in with Josie Zilch and the Atlantis team that competed at Crea Pro 7s in Colombia. • Highlights from last week: Ohio H.S. champion Highland Buzzards, U23 Thunderbirds captain Annie Henrich, and U23 MVP Ava Reuter. And the Eagles take the pitch against South Africa on July 4. Visit the site for more.
