The USA Rugby Women’s National Team and age grade programs fire up in the summer, and the following list of events will update as more details (e.g., live-streams) are made known. The international action has already begun with the USA Falcons at the Next Gen 7s in Canada and expect many of those players to feature in additional age grade outings in the coming months. SEVENS
The USA Women’s 7s Team is in between HSBC World Rugby seasons during the summer, but Chula Vista will continue to host High Performance 7s Academy camps, which generally occur every two months. U18 through U23 players attend these assemblies.
Expect to see many Eagles and USA Falcons (and international stars) in the Premier Rugby 7s circuit. So while PR 7s isn’t a USA Pathways program per se, it’s a major international event based in the U.S. and has the potential to funnel talent to the USA teams. The summer will also see USA 7s host developmental and high performance camps in Chula Vista, but those assemblies and their attendees are not often publicized. And the USA Club 7s National Championship will occur Aug. 12-13 in Madison, Wisc.
